Last weekend, the spirit of summer was alive and well at The Friends of The Dassett Family Festival held at Dassett C of E Primary School. The event brought together families, local residents, and school supporters for a fun-filled day packed with activities, community spirit, and more than a few surprises.
Representing our team at the event was Ryan Boneham from our sales department, who brought along a very special guest – our classic 1957 Austin Healey BN4. Parked proudly on display, the car attracted plenty of attention from children and adults alike, sparking curiosity and conversations throughout the day. It was a treat to see young faces light up as they admired the sleek lines and vintage charm of this British motoring icon. Many asked thoughtful questions about the car’s history, design, and what it’s like to drive something so different from the modern vehicles they see every day.
Beyond the car, the festival itself was bursting with character. A variety of stalls offered something for everyone – from homemade crafts and delicious bakes to games and raffles. Ryan found himself particularly drawn to the tombola stall, where luck was clearly on his side – he walked away the proud winner of a bottle of prosecco!
The atmosphere throughout the day was joyful and relaxed. Events like these are a reminder of how important local communities and schools are in bringing people together. We were honoured to be a small part of it and delighted that the Austin Healey added a little extra flair to the festivities.
A big thank you to The Friends of The Dassett for putting on such a wonderful event. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
