Get Your Orders In Before the Festive Slow-Down Hits

December has arrived, workshop heaters are working overtime, and most Healeys are either mid-project or tucked away for winter. Before we all disappear into the annual cycle of mince pies and mild family chaos, it’s time to set out our Christmas 2025 last order dates and upcoming holiday hours.

Every year we receive the same questions: “Will this arrive before Christmas?”, “When are you closing?”, and occasionally, “Does Royal Mail really slow down that much?” The short answer is yes — and so does everyone else. Couriers, customs officers, and even the most heroic delivery drivers who are still wearing shorts, all enter the festive zone, where time becomes elastic and the traffic outside retail parks moves slower than a Healey on three cylinders.

But fear not: here’s everything you need to plan your final parts orders before Christmas.

  • Worldwide & Europe: aim to order by Monday 15th December for the best chance of pre-Christmas delivery.
  • UK orders: aim to order by Friday 19th December.
  • Orders can still be placed and will be processed over the holiday period between Christmas and New Year.
  • Workshop opening hours change over Christmas and New Year, so plan your Healey jobs in advance.

Important Last Order Dates for Pre-Christmas Delivery

These dates help give your orders the best possible chance of arriving before the Christmas break. They reflect typical courier timings for December and give your parcel the strongest chance of reaching you before the holidays.

Worldwide Deliveries

Monday 15th December

For destinations outside Europe, we recommend placing orders by Monday 15th December. International handling, longer transit routes, and seasonal pressure across global networks all add extra time in December.

Europe

Monday 15th December

European parcels typically move faster than worldwide shipments, but December’s border checks, customs queues, and local courier congestion can still cause delays. Ordering by Monday 15th December gives your parcel the best possible run.

United Kingdom

Friday 19th December

For UK deliveries, Friday 19th December is our advised date for the best chance of pre-Christmas delivery. It’s our busiest final week of the year; once we reach the 19th, parcels enter the seasonal lottery, so ordering sooner is a wise move.

What These Cut-Off Dates Mean for You

These shipping cut-off dates matter because they help you avoid seasonal delays, keep control of your workshop schedule, and stop a missing part from holding up your Healey over the holidays.

Whether you run a professional restoration workshop or you’re deep into your winter tinkering ritual, planning ahead avoids the frustration of the one missing part that halts everything. December is traditionally the month when:

  • That back-ordered job finally makes it onto the ramp
  • Someone decides to “quickly” rebuild their carburettors before New Year
  • A gearbox oil seal is discovered leaking onto the garage floor
  • A winter upgrade becomes a spring renovation

Whatever your situation, here’s what the Christmas cut-offs mean in practical terms.

  1. Order sooner rather than later
It’s not about panic — it’s about realism. Couriers juggle enormous volumes in December, and while they do a heroic job, the network is under pressure. Give your parcel the best possible head start.
  2. We dispatch right up to our final working day
While others might be winding down, our Dispatch team keeps going at full speed. Parcels continue leaving our warehouse until we close the doors for Christmas.
  3. Orders after the cut-off may still arrive — but it varies
Some customers get pre-Christmas delivery well beyond the advised dates; others experience delays from weather or customs. We keep things moving as quickly as possible.
  4. The website never closes
You can place orders throughout Christmas and New Year. Our team will continue processing orders over the holiday period between Christmas and New Year, and anything that can’t be completed then will be queued ready for dispatch once we’re fully back in the workshop.
  5. A great time to check your overall Healey parts list
Winter is the perfect time to assess what your car needs before spring driving returns. Electrical items, rubber components, clutch parts, cooling system spares — all the usual suspects benefit from refreshes. You can browse our electrical parts or explore cooling system components to get ahead of common winter jobs.

Holiday Opening & Closure Dates

To help you plan your workshop schedule, here are our confirmed opening times over Christmas and New Year. You’ll still be able to place orders online during this period, and we’ll continue processing orders over the holiday break so everything keeps moving through our system.

Planning Your Healey Projects Around the Holiday Break

Most Healey owners fall into one of two December categories:

Group A: “I’ll just tidy up a few small jobs over Christmas.”

This usually escalates into something involving the gearbox tunnel, at least one scraped knuckle, and a moment of staring at the workshop manual wondering what you’ve done.

Group B: “It’s off the road anyway — perfect time for a bigger job.”

Rear axle rebuilds, wiring improvements, suspension refreshes, oil leaks that have moved from “slightly annoying” to “actively dripping.”

Regardless of which group you’re in, December slows everything down except your ambition. Ordering early ensures you can actually do the jobs you’ve planned.

FAQs

Will my order arrive before Christmas? We dispatch quickly, but delivery in December depends on couriers, customs, weather, and traffic. Ordering early gives your parcel the best chance.
Can I still place orders while you’re closed? Yes — the website never closes. Orders placed during the break will continue to be processed over the holiday period and will be dispatched as soon as our warehouse is back to normal operations in the New Year.
Do parcels still go out on the final working day? Yes — dispatch continues right up to closing time on 23rd December.
Are courier delays common in December? They can be. Higher volumes, winter weather, customs queues and traffic all contribute to slower networks.
