Retro Classics Essen 2026 event reflection

A few weeks on from Retro Classics Essen 2026, it is a good time to reflect on what was a thoroughly enjoyable and successful event for A H Spares.

From the moment the show opened, there was a real sense of energy around the halls, and that atmosphere continued throughout the event. For our team, the show was a valuable opportunity to meet both long-standing customers and new visitors, talk through restoration projects, answer technical questions and share our enthusiasm for the Big Healey, Sprite and Midget marques.

Based on Gallery Stand E10, John and Paul were kept busy throughout the show and greatly enjoyed speaking with so many fellow enthusiasts. Whether visitors stopped by with a specific parts enquiry or simply wanted to talk about their car and future plans, the stand was full of conversation from start to finish.

Why Retro Classics Essen Mattered

What stands out most a few weeks later is the warmth of the reception we received. Events like Retro Classics are about far more than exhibiting products. They are about shared knowledge, enthusiasm, craftsmanship and the friendships that exist across the classic vehicle world.

As always, we are extremely grateful to everyone who took the time to visit John and Paul during the show. Your support, interest and encouragement helped make the event a real success for A H Spares, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who stopped by the stand.

A few weeks on, we are still looking back on the event with great pride. Although we returned from Essen with sore feet, we also came back very happy, encouraged by the response to our products, the strength of the conversations we had, and the continued passion surrounding these much-loved marques.

Looking ahead, our next shows will be the Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham, taking place from 13–15 November 2026, and Époqu’Auto in Lyon, running from 6–8 November 2026 at Eurexpo Lyon. We look forward to meeting customers and fellow enthusiasts again at both events.
