This leather bonnet strap recreates the style used on Austin Healey 100M Le Mans and competition-prepared Healeys, providing practical bonnet retention at higher speeds. Crafted from full-grain brown leather with stitched edges, punched adjustment holes, and bright metal buckles at both ends, it delivers durability and a correct period finish. When mounted centrally across the louvered bonnet, it mirrors the 100M’s competition appearance while offering genuine mechanical benefit.
Designed for Austin Healey 100 BN1 and BN2 models fitted with a louvered aluminium bonnet (OBP243), as used on 100M Le Mans specification cars. Not suitable for plain, non-louvered bonnets.
Fixing plates are not included – see OBP245 / BON131.
Mounts centrally over the bonnet using OBP245 fixing plates at each end (not included). Adjust both buckles evenly for balanced tension and correct bonnet alignment. Avoid over-tightening to protect paintwork.
