Ordering from the UK: FAQs for US Healey Owners

How long does delivery to the United States usually take?
Most US orders arrive in around 3–7 working days once dispatched, depending on carrier, service level, and location. You’ll receive tracking so you can follow progress door-to-door.
Which carriers do you use and is tracking included?
We ship with trusted international couriers (e.g., DHL, UPS, FedEx). All services include tracking; your confirmation email will contain the tracking link as soon as your order leaves our UK warehouse.
Will I be charged UK VAT (sales tax)?
No. Orders shipped to the USA are exported VAT-free from the UK. Prices shown at checkout will exclude UK VAT for US delivery addresses.
Do I have to pay US import duties and taxes?
Possibly. US Customs may apply duties and/or state taxes. The carrier typically collects these on Customs’ behalf before or at delivery, and any applicable fees will be notified during transit. A H Spares is not responsible for setting or charging these tariffs. For questions about duties and tariffs, please contact U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
How are prices charged, USD or GBP?
We bill in GBP. Your card provider or PayPal will convert to USD at their exchange rate. Any foreign transaction fees (if applicable) are set by your bank.
Will these parts fit US-spec Healeys (LHD)?
Yes. Our listings specify model and production breakpoints (BN1–BJ8, Sprite/Midget). Many parts are common to US and UK cars; where handed or market-specific differences apply, they’re noted on the product page. If in doubt, tell us your model/year and we’ll confirm fitment.
Can you ship directly to my restoration shop or business address?
Absolutely. We ship to residential and commercial addresses across the US. Just enter the workshop’s details at checkout.
How can I see shipping options and costs before paying?
Add items to your basket and proceed to checkout. Available services and live shipping prices will display for your US address before you confirm payment.
What’s your returns & exchanges process from the USA?
If something isn’t quite right, contact us first so we can advise the best return method. Returns are sent back to our UK address using a tracked service. Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges policy for timeframes and any authorisation steps.
What if my order arrives damaged or something is missing?
Please notify us as soon as possible with photos of the packaging and parts. We’ll work with the carrier to resolve it and get replacements moving quickly.
Do you offer technical support if I have fitment questions?
Yes. Our team knows Healeys. Share your model, year, and any relevant numbers; we’ll help you confirm the right parts and installation notes where applicable.
