When the Workshop Manual Doesn't Tell the Whole Story
A good workshop manual is an important part of any Austin Healey owner's library. It can tell you how a component comes apart, how it should be adjusted and how the factory intended a job to be carried out.
What it cannot always give you is the knowledge accumulated from decades spent actually working on these cars: the details noticed during a restoration, the questions raised by original components, or the practical observations that only become apparent after years of maintaining and studying Healeys.
That is where Roger Moment's experience becomes particularly useful. His book, Tips on Maintenance, Repair & Restoration of the Austin Healey 100, 100-Six and 3000, brings much of that hands-on knowledge together in one practical reference.
