Plan ahead and keep things moving
If you have already got a job lined up, it is worth checking your parts list now. The larger items are usually accounted for. It is the smaller pieces that tend to bring everything to a halt at the worst possible moment.
It might be something simple in a polybush kit, a missing fixing when fitting a luggage rack, or a tired component in your Lucas rotating electrics. The same goes for cooling and fuel systems. A worn part in your engine cooling setup or an ageing fuel pump has a habit of making itself known at exactly the wrong time.
Even interior jobs can catch you out. One missing clip or panel from your interior trim can stop progress just as things are coming together.
Because when everything is right, the car feels it. The way it sits, the way it runs, the way it looks when you step back and take it in. That is the difference a complete job makes.
Seals, fixings, gaskets, clips. None of them exciting, all of them essential.
Worth a quick look now, rather than a long wait later.
