Description Austin Healey MK1, 1960 BJ7. Colour: Midnight Blue with Biscuit Tan Leather Interior. Fully Matching Numbers Car. Heritage Certificate Supplied With Car. New M.O.T Supplied With Car. This car is truly one of the best British examples of the Marque that can be found anywhere. It features one of the most striking colour combinations of period Midnight Blue body work, new roof/hood, new tonneau cover, combined with Biscuit Tan leather interior and Blue piping. All this is then complemented with matching bespoke carpets, that truly set the car off spectacularly. Body No expense has been spared in this conservation. Complete body off chassis, nut and bolt restoration. New original body panels supplied by A H Spares, then fitted all round where existing panels that were to far gone to be conserved. Floor sills, new galvanised floor fitted to front and back, original aluminium and steel body panels supplied by AH Spares were fitted where existing panels could not be conserved. Inner and outer wings, original chair frames shot blasted, repaired then treated back to new, retractable roof shot blasted, treated then painted, new inner and outer door panels, front and rear wings were expertly fabricated utilising the old methods traditionally used when the car first left the production line. Skilful master mechanics from the world of motorsport and steel & aluminium fabrication experts came together in this rebuild. Bespoke-Interior/Exterior Trim Austin Healey Spares trimming department was commissioned, whereby they worked to my exacting design brief. The department designed the leather seats as well as bespoke carpets to front and rear and the boot area. It was then fitted by one of East Anglia’s finest trimmers. Brand new tyres fitted all round, new spare wheel, chrome spinners, bumpers, petrol filler cap and all bright work including door handles inside and out, front grill, door flash, studs for tonneau roof. Mechanicals/ Electrical’s The car also features; new suspension all round, brand new exhaust system, new breaks and break lines, shock absorbers, bushes, reconditioned instrument gauges, rewired engine loom, new lights, indicators, reflectors, reconditioned gearbox with overdrive, engine and carburettors rebuilt then tuned to perfection by an ace Mille-Miglia mechanic. The engine bay has also been detailed to a very high specification.
