Description For Sale: Gidget, the Peking to Paris Healey 100. Offers invited in the region of AUD $60-65k. Gidget was the first Healey to participate and complete the Peking to Paris Challenge. We took part in the 2019 event, and were one of only 22 cars, which drove every inch of the event. We were never towed, flat-bedded or bogged. We finished in 29th place overall, 16th in class (Classic over 2L) and 5th in the European Cup. The car is heavily modified for endurance rallying, and, let’s be honest, is never going to be a concours car. She’s a 50 footer. She looks great from 50 feet away. Not so much close up! Part of the reason for this is that, to save weight, there is no bog on the bodywork, and only one coat of undercoat, and one coat of Coronet Cream top coat. And she took a pounding on the rally, so there are a few dings and dents in the panels. But she is now solid, strong and very reliable.
