Description This car is a model BJ8 3000 Mk3 manufactured in June 1967 meaning that it was one of the last built. There is a British Motor Industry Heritage certificate for the vehicle. It records that the Healey was originally a left-hand drive, North America export model, finished in black with red trim. It is believed it was exported to California and returned to the UK in the late 1990's. In 1999/2000 it was the subject of a full restoration by Big Healey Restorations. At this time the exterior colour was changed to the current Colorado Red; the engine modified to run on unleaded fuel, electronic ignition fitted and converted to right-hand drive. The car was registered in the UK in July 2000 and was then exported to Jersey, Channel Islands in January 2001. The car has had rollover front and rear bumpers, a side outlet stainless steel exhaust system and chrome wire wheels with 185/70x15 tyres fitted as an upgrade. The original bumpers, exhaust and wheels are available if the new owner wishes to re-fit them. The car has documentation confirming maintenance since the restoration. The car is currently Jersey registered. As the car was originally UK registered it would be simple to import it back to the UK with a low import tax. The price for the car reflects the import tax requirement. |
