Description Most of its life in DRY INLAND SOUTH AFRICA - so as
rust-free as you'll find. Engine rebuilt in S Africa (Engine attacts
positive comments from AH Specialists its been to - starts and runs
really well.) I bought it and had it re-commissioned by DAN HOWELLS (Ex
John Chatham) Carbs re-furbed by SU Carbs recommended specialist and a new
Battery was fitted.
The engine runs superbly.
Most recently its been through a Winter Check with BILL
RAWLES Classic Cars & had a replacement Radiator, Fuel Tank and front
(Blue) poly-bushes as a result.
HARDY ENGINEERING rebuilt gear-box and over-drive. (Hardy
does most of Goodwoods Race Cars.) The overdrive is the longer ratio suited to
touring rather than racing. New Wire wheels (slightly wider than standard,) and
New MITCHELIN XAS tyres set this car off perfectly. I have debumpered the
car - looks very Works ! (Bumpers set aside & come with the car.)
I had done this car as a keeper - never thinking I would
find my dream Jaguar XK 140 - which I now have done! So that's why my Lovely 100/6 is now for sale.
All the best people and parts have been used.
Two massive files of receipts.
The car has a Tonnuax Cover, Frame and
UNUSED Mohair Hood. Go faster parts (available by seperate negotiation) -
Later Head - Flowed by known AH club expert, Twin HD8 carbs & Welsh
Side Exhaust.
Not to show car standard (some minor catch up work required
to Boot & front wing,) but an honest solid car extensively restored and
that you won't be afraid to drive.
Asking price - I have priced it less than most trade cars -
by some margin and have spent considerably more making the car what it is
today. I might accept a very close offer - but see it for the rare 2 seater it
is - I will keep it rather than give it away. |
