Description This car was built in May 1962 and exported to the USA and was bought back to the UK in November 2017. The car when purchased was in running condition but somewhat tatty. The car was completely stripped to enable us to assess the condition of the car. Once dismantled the body was bare metalled to inspected and resprayed in "Old English White". All of the mechanical parts were examined and rebuilt replacing parts where necessary the engine was rebored and new pistons and bearings were fitted. The cylinder head was decoked and new valves valve seats and valve springs were fitted. The gearbox, overdrive and rear axle were all rebuilt, including new rear road springs, and brakes. A new wiring loom was fitted and a new battery. The wheels were replaced with new chrome wire wheels and new tyres. The interior seats carpets and hood have all been replaced with new. The car has a MOT and road tested. The oil pressure is excellent and all of the instruments are working. |
