This front coil spring is for Austin Healey Sprite MK1, MK2, and early MK3 models up to chassis HAN8[C]60259. It is a replacement spring for the standard front suspension and is intended to restore proper ride height, front-end balance, and suspension movement where the original spring has weakened with age and use.
The early and late Sprite front springs are not the same. This early version has a free length of 9.5" and a spring rate of 271lb, so using the correct spring is important when rebuilding or correcting the front suspension.
